What Is a Medication Aide?
As a medication aide, you'll be trained to dispense medication under the supervision of a registered nurse. Your lessons will emphasize pharmacology reference materials and more.
You'll learn common drug classifications, generic and brand names, side effects, and everything else you need to be successful in your field.
Course Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Graduated nurse aide or personal care aide
- Proof of identity
- Provide social security card
- Have a criminal background check performed
- Must have a TB test
Class schedule:
Monday through Friday
9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Tuition (including textbook):
$700.00
To sit for your state boards, you must complete the class successfully and you must have 68 hours total of classroom/clinical hours.
